From my first visit to Burton Breast Care Unit on 16/7/20 and each subsequent visit I have been treated with the utmost kindness and care from all the nurses and consultants.A special thank you to Mrs Carmichael who was my surgeon and Lindsey McDonnell and Kay Harrison who reassured me at this difficult time.

From the moment I nervously walked through the door for my first appointment at The Breast Care Unit I was treated with enormous care and kindness. Life was made much more difficult with Covid 19, but I can only say that from beginning to end I was treasured by everyone I met during the course of my treatment. Nothing was ever too much trouble and re-assurance was dished out in bucketful's. A huge thank you to everyone.

I needed to make a decision about what surgery was best for me and amongst all the anxiety, confusion, and fear, Kay answered all my questions and helped me understand what was important and what to focus on. She was straight talking and clearly experienced and was able to help clear the fog in my head and make things seem more simple. She was able to quickly understand what was important to me and by using examples and being reassuring, I was able to make the decision with a lot more confidence as all my questions had been answered and the path ahead seemed a lot more clear. I was able to articulate my choice and the reasons with the consultant and we both credited Kay with helping me make this decision with confidence. Thank you Kay.

Kay and her team were amazing. Every time I went to the breast care unit I felt safe and was treated as an individual. All the staff were knowledgeable and helped me through the diagnosis and treatment.
